What was the highlight of Changyu Hotel

Very Good

Our room was a very good size and nicely renovated. I liked that the washbasin was outside the toilet/shower, and that there was a nice long counter for us to put our makeup/toiletries/food etc. Breakfast is a set main dish that you had to pick the night before. The buffet is very limited.

We had an issue on our second last day. When we got back to the room in the evening, my friend's soft toy had disappeared. We searched the whole room and it wasn't there. Turns out the cleaners, while changing the sheets, had just bundled everything up (including the soft toy on the bed) and sent it to the laundry. Since the hotel laundry is outsourced, we weren't able to get it back before we left Tainan, but they did retrieve it and mail it to our hotel in Taipei, which was much appreciated. Hopefully they'll take more care in the future.

high-end hotel experience with out the high price tag

the staff were super friendly and the room was awesome! it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. they gave us free water, snacks, tea, coffee, etc. and the breakfast was also really yummy! it was mostly taiwanese-style options but they also had some bread/toast available if you’re looking for something slightly more western. they also have luggage storage if you want to explore more of tainan after checkout! only about a 10 minute walk to the train station so it’s very convenient

Charming boutique hotel

Cosy boutique property with very charming decor & front desk staff. Welcome snacks. Lovely mugs .Location near Tainan main station with nearby good local food.

No MRT so spent on taxi. Not enough storage for luggages for a family room.

Really lovely staff and modern facilities in the room. Adequate breakfast.

The layout of our room was a bit odd. Essentially there was no separate bathroom so it was all quite open. We saw the layout of some other rooms that were being cleaned and some had worse layouts (i.e. even more open than ours) but others had better layouts where there was more privacy.

Very Good

TV screen is big and cleanly room. Also has Xiaomi kettle and hairdryer. Their staffs are friendly.

Aircon not so cold as what we expected even though we adjusted to lowest temperatures with highest fan speed.

Very nice modern hotel in a good location in Tainan - about 10 min walk from Tainan station. Rooms are modern and clean, with asian breakfast included in the room rate. Staff are very friendly and speak good English. Highly recommend.

Nice clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The service staff was terrific; cleaning the room and providing new supplies every day. The room was large as was the bed. The hotel is very nice and clean.

The elevator was small and slow. The bed was on the hard side, but still slept well. Not many restaurants in the area of the hotel.

Great location, fantastic breakfast and huge room.

The breakfast is very good, with some western food options too. The room was huge, comfortable and modern. The hotel is within a 10 min walking distance of Tainan station, and very convenient to travel to all parts of the city. WiFi connection was better than I usually find in hotels. There are many excellent food options throughout the day right outside, too. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and helpful. Although the price is a little more expensive for Tainan, I still thought my stay here was good value.

The elevator takes forever. Better to use the stairs. Also, while the big windows in the rooms are nice, the view over the street is not great. If you are looking for a city view, try to get a room on a higher floor!

Modern hotel with high CP value

Nice view of the city from my room window. The mirror and basin are separated from the toilet and shower so you will not get foggy mirror after taking a warm shower. It was sweet of them to provide a welcome snack for the guest on the table in the room. Breakfast was quite good. You can select from western or eastern eats. I've tried both and they are absolutely delicious. Do try the milk fish porridge as they helped to remove all the bones. If you're still feeling hungry, you may still pick whatever you want at the buffet. Location is close to Tainan train station, perfect to reach your hotel after taking a train or if you're intending to take the train to your next destination.

The room was quite small with the desk directly in front of the television.

The room utilizes the space very well. Breakfast was delicious. Staffs were very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. Location was perfect. Plenty of space in the room.

Sparkling small hotel

The rooms are sparkling new and spacious. The breakfast was very nice.

The hotel is small. 6 rooms per floor. About 12 floors. The lift is small and slow. There’s no parking.

Very pleasantly surprised for the price.

Beautiful room and bath. Great shower. Outstanding value and location.

Breakfast was just OK. Limited variety and only average quality, though beef soup was quite good. Decided not to try restaurant for dinner as there is wonderful street food all around Tainan.
